Zap is designed to provide screen recording and face camera overlay features. To perform these functions, the app requires specific permissions:

Camera: Used solely to display the Face Cam overlay while recording. We do not record or store camera data unless you initiate a screen recording.

Microphone: Used to capture audio during screen recordings.

•

Storage (Media Files): Used to save the recorded videos to your device's gallery or file system.

Screen Capture (MediaProjection API): Used to record your screen content. A system-level prompt is always shown before recording begins.

2. Data Privacy and Local Processing

Your privacy is our priority.

No Server Uploads: All video recordings and camera previews are processed locally on your device. We DO NOT collect, store, transmit, or share any of your videos, images, or audio data to our servers or any third parties.

No Personal Identification: We do not collect personal information such as names, email addresses, or phone numbers.

3. Permissions Justification

We follow the Google Play Developer Program Policies:

Overlay Permission (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW): This is required to show the floating control hub (Assistive Ball) and the Face Cam bubble on top of other apps.

Foreground Service: Required to ensure the recording continues smoothly when you leave the app.

4. Third-Party Services

The app may use third-party libraries (like Google's CameraX or Media3). These libraries do not collect personal data from you through our app. If we show advertisements in the future, we will update this policy to include the ad providers' privacy details.

5. Children’s Privacy

Zap does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. Since all data remains on your device, we do not have access to any user-specific data.

6. Security

We value your trust. Since all files are stored on your device's local storage, the security of your recordings depends on your device's security settings.
